Seq is a Latin word that means "the following." The original word in Latin is "sequentia." The seq definitions also include other words that mean "following" or "that which follows something else." These words include sequential, sequitur, and sequence. the term nonsequitur means something that does not logically follow something else. These seq meanings are more common in everyday speech than the word "seq" itself, but the word itself is proper usage in English. Chiefly, its use by itself is to replace the word "sequence," such as, "It was an interesting seq of events prior to the start of the party."
